The Power of Websites

With the continued accelerated rise of social media, it might be easy to think websites are becoming a thing of the past, but that's not true. Developing and maintaining a well-rounded online presence is crucial for any brand or business regardless of the industry. Many businesses don't realize how often people still visit websites to get information before making a decision, purchase, etc. Having a strong online presence, including a website, can be make or break it for your business. Seriously.

Whether you want to generate more revenue, or reach a wider audience, a professional website is an absolute must for your business. The quality of your website impacts results and ultimately the longevity of your brand. Having a quality, professional website establishes credibility for your business. People buy or connect with brands that they can trust; if you're website isn't up to part, then their trust in your business waivers. One of the main reasons you should have a website for your business is to increase your organization's credibility. A great way to build trust and stand among competitors is by having a website that not only looks good but also clearly communicates quality information to your target audience.

Without a website, people may question your legitimacy as a business. Having a polished and professional website helps you make a great first impression and give people comfort that you’re a legit business. As a passionate person pursing a career in a creative like marketing, I understand first-hand how important is to have a strong digital presence, including a website. That's why I constantly research ways to improve my own website so that my portfolio and experience shines. I'm not a web designer by any means, but there are many user-friendly platforms out there like Wix, SquareSpace, and Weebly to help you build a strong website yourself until you're able to partner with a professional web designer who can build your website.

As a nonprofit board member, I provide marketing insight and help make marketing decisions for Access Language Solutions as well as their educational branch the Kentucky Interpreter & Translator Association. I've coordinated with a freelance web designer who has built both nonprofit's websites. Working with Birch & Lime has been incredible for both organizations. Birch & Lime helped elevate the websites to properly convey each nonprofit's mission, vision, services, programs, and history. Effectively communicating all of these things is important to both organizations so that we, as a board, can ensure that we're achieving our mission and helping our community. It all starts with building trust through a strong online presence through a professional website and solid social media strategy.
