For five years, I volunteered as a nonprofit board member with Access Language Solutions; in this role, I reviewed or approved plans for reorganization or growth as well as developed marketing strategies. As a former AmeriCorps VISTA with the Kentucky Interpreter & Translator Association, I'm experienced at leading fundraisers, facilitating registrations, building donor relations, coordinating major events, designing surveys, and cultivating community partnerships. Therefore, I have a very strong understanding of the importance of capacity building and the administrative responsibilities needed to manage a nonprofit.
