New LinkedIn Feature

Have you heard the news? Following in the steps of Instagram, LinkedIn has launched its own native scheduling tool now! Now you can schedule a post directly from your LinkedIn account from the app or your laptop. Users can schedule a post between an hour and three months in advance, which is a great way to level up your posting consistency. It's important to note that you can’t edit the content of a post once it's scheduled, but you can reschedule or delete it. Currently, scheduling is not supported for the following content:

  • Events

  • Jobs

  • Services

  • Polls

  • Re-shares

  • Posts to groups

  • Multi-Image Posts (Carousels)

Many LinkedIn users and marketing platforms like Social Media Today or Later have commented on this new feature; so far the response is hopeful and excited. Native features like this are very helpful to users from a personal and business perspective. For one, it will make batching content easier and help users save time in the long-run by focusing on other responsibilities when their content is scheduled. Moreover, this new feature will also help users make sure their photos, videos, and caption align perfectly with the platform. Each social media platform is unique (think photo dimensions) so it's important to make sure your content is visually appealing when you're scheduling it.

What do you think about LinkedIn's native scheduling feature? Have you used it yet? How do you think this will impact individual users, brands, or businesses?
