Making A Splash with My New Role at the YMCA

I’m excited to share that I’ve started a new role as the Aquatics Director at the YMCA of Central Kentucky! It’s an honor to join an organization that has such a deep-rooted commitment to community, health, and well-being. I've been a member off the YMCA at different periods in my life, and I'm excited to join the staff to make a positive impact on our community. From my first day, I felt the energy and warmth that make the Y such a unique place—and I’m thrilled to now be part of it.

In this role, I’ll be overseeing the aquatics programs, which includes everything from swim lessons and water fitness classes to safety standards and community events. For me, this is more than just managing a facility; it’s about creating a space where people of all ages can come to grow, learn, and feel at home. I’m passionate about making a positive impact, and I can’t wait to bring new ideas to the table that will enhance our offerings and ensure our members feel supported every step of the way.

Already, I’ve been inspired by the dedication of my team and the enthusiasm of our members. My first week has been full of new challenges, learning experiences, and a renewed sense of purpose, and it’s only just the beginning! I’m looking forward to all that’s ahead: building strong programs, fostering a safe and welcoming environment, and hopefully making a lasting difference in our members' lives.

Here’s to new beginnings, meaningful connections, and making a splash—both in and out of the water!
