From August 2017 to August 2018, I served as the AmeriCorps VISTA Language Access Outreach Specialist with the Kentucky Interpreter & Translator Association. In this role, I accepted the sole responsibility of developing and managing the nonprofit's marketing strategies. I researched the industry, the nonprofit, and each social media platform to implement the most successful long-term marketing strategies. It was a constant learning process; most of what I learned about social media marketing came from this position. This role provided me complete creative freedom and a wonderful opportunity to learn first-hand about marketing. I'm so grateful for the introduction to digital marketing that this position gave me.
